Thankful Thursday

A few of the things I've been thankful for this week:


* COOLER WEATHER! I stepped on the porch this morning and at 76 degrees, I thought I was going to freeze.  It was FANTASTIC.
* My mother-in-law being available to baby-sit for a couple of days so I could go to work.
* My job being flexible enough that I don't have to find a full-time sitter/daycare.
* Hugs from my sweet boy.
* Watching Milo do SO many new things - like make truck noises when he plays with his dump truck. I can only assume this is inborn because we did not show him how to do this.
* A husband whose patience knows no end.

13 Months!

Our little man is 13 months old today!  We don't have the sticky bellies for anything past the first year (well, they might make them but we don't have them) so no "official" pictures today.  But this picture pretty much sums up what's happening around here these days.  Milo is into EVERYTHING.  Today he figured out he could reach the door handle.  Fantastic.  At least he can't reach the deadbolt. Yet.  

The last month he's started to do so many new things. Hiding something and then putting his hands up and looking at us as if to say "where'd it go?". Making truck noises. Eating lots more table food. Walking behind his little cart or his John Deere. Giving the sweetest hugs. He catches on to things VERY quickly.  I think I have attached a video of him playing with the new toy he got last night. Within minutes of having it open, he was already hammering like a pro. I expect he'll be walking unassisted any day now.  YIKES!

That's about all that's happening here.  He's keeping us on our toes!

Thankful Thursday

Just a few things I have been thankful for this week:


* Air conditioning!
* Dry shampoo
* Funny e-mails from my sister and brother-in-law
* Looking forward to dinner with my uncle who will meet Milo for the first time
* A job that I truly love, and the best group (as a whole) of co-workers and bosses EVER
* Hugs from my little monkey (he even pats my arm while hugging me)
* RAIN! (And the brief period of 73 degree temps during that rain)
* Not having to water because of the rain!
* Good friends to share dinner with
* A WONDERFUL baby-sitter for Milo

Knitted Goodness

Oh my word.  He was so tiny.  And isn't that pumpkin just the most precious thing you've ever seen?  If he was still that tiny I'd totally get him one of her sock monkey hat/diaper cover sets.  Maybe I'll get one for my sister's little munchkin when she has him/her (probably a her).  :)
