Randomness

This post is a dumping ground for all the random things that have happened the last few days/weeks that don't necessarily warrant a post of their own.

Showers. We've had them all now, and here's the proof: This is me sitting where I'm told (in the recliner) in the midst of all the goodies. The look on my face is one of being overwhelmed and grateful, all at once. Lots of people love us! This was before we sorted everything into piles - clothes (with sub-piles by size of course), bath things, toys, books, bedding, etc. Nathan sorted, I directed. :) The second pic is the rest of the room, but you can also see my cankles and "Hitch" feet (because I think they look like Will Smith's hands when he has the reaction to the shellfish in "Hitch"). We didn't get anything really accomplished as far as decorating or finishing his room so no pics of that for now. Hopefully in the next couple of days I'll have pics of the living room with the new and improved paint color!



Friday Nathan and I both took the day off from work and he painted the living room while I did some crafting. I made this sign for one of the girls at work (I've got 2 more to make!) and I also made a little something for another friend but she reads this blog so I'm not posting pics until I get it to her!



Nathan has been experimenting with different settings on our camera to see which ones will be best for closeups of Baby A, which ones for different lighting situations, etc. We got these of our "fur baby". You can all see clearly how mistreated he is. He follows this square of sunlight around the living room each morning - starting out on this corner of the couch, moving to the futon, then the floor under the coffee table, finally the edge of the rug.

I am honestly a little concerned about how he's going to handle the new baby - I got him at the shelter and part of the papers I signed was to agree that if I ever couldn't keep him anymore, I'd take him back there. I am not OK with this as an option so I'm hoping and praying he loves Baby A just like he loves Nathan and me!

Will try my best to take pics of the new paint job and post soon but this is already shaping up to be a busy week so no promises. :)
