Peaches

So, it’s been a busy week or so. We’ve spent more of our time in Big D than anywhere else. We are FINALLY home and intend to stay here for a few weeks, Lord willing. In our “spare time” yesterday and today we went to the Edmond Farmer’s Market and bought some squash, cantaloupe, jelly, honey, and other stuff I can’t remember, and peaches, and then made a peach cobbler from scratch. It was our first attempt, and in my humble (but honest) opinion, it rocked. We used Nathan’s Grandmother’s “Never Fail Pie Crust” recipe and then also her recipe for the innards of the cobbler. Here’s how it went:

We forgot to put the butter in but didn’t realize it until we’d all already eaten ours so we didn’t miss it and it probably saved us a few hundred calories. ;) And Benj obviously approves (see last pic).
